How are floods formed?  

Floods are formed by heavy rain or ocean waves over-flowing and coming on to the shore and when dams break they can cause a floods too and when snow melts too fast, it can cause rivers to over flow. 

Types of flood?

There are lots of types of floods. One of them is called flash floods. They are fast and dangerous.

Effects on people and land? 

Water goes everwhere and it can  effect people because it goes in through homes and other buildings. Floods can cause lots of damage because water goes so fast it can flood. People could also drown or break limbs. Houses can be broken down with the result that people won't have a place to stay in.
